- Start to heat your pan with a nice knob of butter and a lick of neutral oil.
- Add your cleaned morels with a few chopped shallots. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
- Deglaze your preparation with white wine or yellow wine and cook for another 5 minutes.
- If your preparation reduces too much, sprinkle regularly with a little water. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes.

- First, rehydrate your dried morels for several tens of minutes.

- Add your rehydrated morels and a handful of chopped shallots and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
- Deglaze the preparation with white wine or yellow wine and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Continue cooking for another 10 minutes and baste regularly with the morel rehydration water.
- You can then incorporate them in a little cream or gravy.

How To Cook Frozen Morel Mushrooms
Finally, let’s talk about cooking frozen morel mushrooms. The difference with fresh morels is that they must be thawed before cooking. So, here are the steps to properly cook frozen morels:
- First, you need to thaw the morels. To do this, you can place them in the fridge overnight to thaw gently. Or you can place them in a microwave to speed up the process.
- When your morels are thawed and well softened then you can continue cooking.
- Heat a frying pan with a little fat (butter, oil) and add your defrosted morels and a handful of chopped shallots and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
- Then, deglaze the preparation with white wine or yellow wine and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Finally, continue cooking for another 10 minutes and baste regularly with a little water.
- Rectify: salt and pepper. And serve immediately!
