The Best Months To Find Black Trumpets
As we mentioned, the season for black trumpets is not uniform. There are generally two major periods to find them:
- The first significant period will begin around early August, reaching its peak in mid-August. The trigger for this growth is usually a good rain that cools the soil and creates a thermal shock, initiating the fruiting of black trumpets.
- The second major growth episode will occur in late fall (around November), and the trigger will no longer be rain but rather a cooling of the climate, which once again creates a thermal shock that initiates significant fruiting of black trumpets.
